Has anyone had to adjust the headlights on the Sonata so that they shine father? I have a friend that is convicted that I need to adjust mine, but I think they are fine. Do you think adjusting them will really make a difference?
When I get home I'll attach a picture of the headlights shining on the road, but I figured I'd get the ball rolling and ask now. |

Left looks a little higher than the right. You might want to lower the left a bit to the same level as the right, but the first picture you posted looks great.

Which way would I need to turn the screwdriver to lower my left headlight? |

With a 2013 you're presumably still under warranty, so you should just get the dealer to check it out. They should have the right equipment to adjust the headlights accurately instead of just eyeballing it.

I live in a rural area, and I found the default adjustment of the low beams to be too low. My wife isn't exactly a car nut, but she immediately noticed this also. The only equipment needed to adjust the position of the beams is a screwdriver.
Check out this thread: Can low beams be tilted up or down a little? There's a couple pics on page 2 that show where the adjuster is. One thing I'd suggest is being at least 25 feet away from a wall, not up close. It'll be much easier to make sure they're even that way. |
