Another Creaking Problem

In the drivers seat, when I lean forward, the seat makes a creaking noise. Not when I go backward and rest, but when I come forward.

Does anyone else have this problem? I just got this problem and I've barely put more than 7,000 miles on it

I have the same problem on my 2011 Sonata GLS with about 16k miles on it. I just figured it was normal but now you have me thinking it may be a defect. Can anyone else confirm if this is supposed to be this way?

I have a 2008 Sonata with that exact noise " creak-creak" to solve it
I first tightened the 4 bolts that connect the seat to the car floor. I then
lightly sprayed the metal springs under the seats with wd-40. It took
care of the noise.

I was going to post a thread regarding that, sonata 2013 limited, I have creaking noise on driver side and the back seat, when music is off it drives me nuts!!
It is worse when going on uneven surfaces and bump, shoud i go to dealer for it?

I have a similar creaking noise in my '12 GLS, but haven't investigated where it's coming from. I'll have to try the suggestions here. It IS annoying.

Wow, good to know I'm not alone! It's super annoying, especially when I don't have music on.

Please keep us updated on what you will be doing about it or if you take steven's advice!

The noise in the back may be from the rear cross member. See this posting Occasional creaking noise from rear suspension.

Just goes to show that though Hyundai has been doing awesome work in terms of upping the quality of their cars, they still have alot to learn from the competition. This is one thing that I'm sad to say that Honda and Toyota will not stand for. I have a 2013 Sonata and the roof makes an annoying creaking noise that just makes it seem like the car is not well put together or it's cheaply made. I love my Sonata, but the sound is a huge turnoff for me.

I had the same prob........you can have the dealership perform silicone lubrication on the sunroof channels...........there's another thread going for this problem: hope this helps!!
