Default How do I disable the seat belt chimes?

Anyone know how to disable the seat belt chimes on a 2012 sonata?
My last resort is to cut the connector and plug in into the buckle.

This is too permanent, I do use my seatbelt, and so should every driver on the road. This is not my opinion, but a fact.

I do want to lose the chime permenant. My Chrylser 300 had a procedure (turning the key, or pressing the brake), that eliminated the chime.

I want that to know if that's something we can do here.

If you wear your belt then why do you want to remove the chime?

Don't be a dummy, wear your seatbelt

I had two friends in a serious wreck a few years ago and both were ejected bc neither were wearing their seatbelts. Both have physical limitations to this day from the accident and one has severe brain damage resulting from the wreck

One had to be discharged from the Marines because of his injuries

Many years ago, we had a friend that headed out for a short Sunday morning drive to pick up a few things at the home center. This was mid 80s and many folks back then still didn't buckle up. Well I guess some folks still don't. In any event, our friend was hit badly by someone who jumped a stop sign. He died the next day at age 26. Hospital staff said he would have likely survived had he been wearing a seatbelt. If you don't want to do it for yourself, do it for your loved ones. Buckle up and stay safe. Happy 4th to everyone in this great country of ours
