After listening to that, Ummm Id get that checked, My '11 SE does not make that noise (Now I will make sure when I get home tonight...lol) but that does not sound healthy on a engine to make those sounds when you turn it off. When is your appointment at the dealership?

Soonest time they can get me in is next Wednesday.

I will put another 600 miles on it before then. I travel a lot due to work.

It's such an odd noise.

Edit/ Looks like I can take it in Earlier.

I recently bought my sonata se 2.0t too but I didn't hear anything like it. Maybe I wasn't paying attention because I'm on the phone constantly.

I have the standard 2.4L engine.

I had noticed it shortly after buying it in December, didn't think anything of it.

I usually have the radio turned up, that must have been drowning it out.

I really started to notice it when I had my radio off. It's loud enough that you can hear it in the car.

I would edit a previous post, but it seems it won't allow me.

I had my wife help so that I can look around when it is being shut off.

Definitely not a pully. The sound it coming from the intake, mostly around the MAF/Throttle body.

That's all I know for now.

That would be my luck!

At least it sounds external. So it should be an easy part swap. Well, easier than and internal problem.
