Default Stereo turns on but no audio

Hey guys, hoping someone can help here. I have a 2011 Sonata with the NAV package, and this morning when I started the car I found that I have no sound coming from my speakers. Stereo powers up just fine, all controls including nav and bluetooth seem to be functioning perfectly, and yet I am getting no audio. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Try removing the radio fuse for about 60 seconds then put fuse back in hopefully that will reboot the radio

Checked the fuses, unplugged for a bit, nothing, unhooked the battery for a bit, again nothing. Quite frustrating. Any other thoughts?

It's sort of like when the ash tray gets full, you have to buy another car.

Doesn't the 2011 have a Mute button on the radio? Have you tried playing with that? Do you have any audio with blue tooth?

VERY simple to fix!! A cold reset or reboot of the radio, do this by pulling out the memory console fuse in the fuse box next to the steering wheel, (see storing your car for long periods in the battery section of your manual) left it pulled for an hour or two, then pushed it back in (have to use the key as the auto locks will not work when pulled) and all audio sound was restored. Only needed to reset my presets for XM radio and all good to go. Kinda like a Microsoft reboot fix. LoL Best regards to others. Phil

SE 2.0T with NAV Dimension. Was driving down the street today listening to the radio when suddenly audio cut out completely. I thought it was the radio station gone silent but I changed to CD and IPOD and still got no sound. Volume controls worked still and showed level changes but got no sound. Pulled over. Shut off the car. Started it back up again and after the NAV/Stereo rebooted I got the sound back. Not happy about this with just 1,300 miles on the car.

With the Factory Nav system you should also have an upgraded stock amplifier. Fusing may not be the same for it and there could be two causes for why it isnt working. If you have full function of the radio but no sound then it isnt the fuses for the radio but the fuse for the amp, you may need to refer to your owners manual for its location however you may need to consult your local dealership to find out where it is. The other possible issue is speakers most amplifiers have built in protection to prevent damage from the result of a grounded or blown speaker. If you had no problems with the speakers (rattling/buzzing) then you should be ok and it should be a simple fix. I have seen both issues with many different makes of cars so first check all fusing inside and outside under the hood. Good luck hope you solve the issue.

There is a reset hole up near the CD slot that you can stick a pin in to reset the unit, maybe that will get it going again.
