Hyundai iPod Cable... Did I get jipped?

hey guys, i took home a new 12 sonata the other day and when i got home i noticed that the hyundai ipod / iphone cable was missing. i searched high and low, and nothing.

when i first saw the car on the lot, he popped the trunk and i believe i did see the box that the cable comes in. Also, another time in the past i went to a different dealership, and the boxed cable was in the center console.

did i get jipped?

i'm not about to shell out $35 for a cable that should have came with my car. if so, do u think i have a chance of fighting this and getting whats mine?

Check the sticker that came with the car. It should list off everything about your including all the "Added Features". On that list you might see stuff like *Carpeted Floor Mats, Cargo Mat, Cargo Net, IPod Cable, Etc. If it's not on the list you didn't get it.

It is an optional item, if your sticker showed it included then go get it, if not, order it from here to save some $$$

thanks guys, i just checked the window sticker and looks like it wasn't listed afterall. humph.

thanks for the links^ .. are u sure those aren't second hand cables? i wouldnt mind shelling out the extra money at the dealership if i knew what i was getting is what will work and is directly from Hyundai...

I could be wrong about this, but I thought that for 2012 Hyundai made the iPod interface compatible with ANY ipod usb cable. Meaning try it with the white ipod cable that comes in the box with you i-device...it might work.

Should ask your dealer if they are willing to throw one in as you have been a good customer. Cost to them is probably like $15, worst case they might sell it to you at cost.

If you need an actual Hyundai ipod cable I've got one. When we purchased our 2012 Limited 2 months ago my dealer included it. It DOES NOT work on the 2012's. The normal white cable that came with your ipod is all you need.
