Default YF Sonata 2011 - 2.4L Performance Mods

Dear all, i just recently purchased a Sonata 2.4L and i found that there is a bit lagging in pick up response. As i am new here, can anyone give me some valuable insights and suggestions for me to improve my ride performance such as adding the power charger or installing the cat-back exhaust system? Your kind help is very appreciated. Thank you~

What did you expect for cheaping out? lol

That being said, there are no reliable/reputable turbos made for the 2.4L yet, but there are strut bars and cold air intakes, nothing close to a substantial, turbo-like performance though.

interestingly enough, after lurking around youtube for a bit, there exists a supercharger kit for the sonata in korea and the supplier is willing to ship out the kit to the us. Only problem is the ecu data, and of course, probably completely voiding your warranty lol. I've asked questions like this before on the forum before, and I've gotten mostly dead ends because of how new the car is, and also people haven't actually tried crazy stuff with the 2.4 yet. If you're not willing to do the dishing out on big money for development and go to these tuning companies and get custom tunes, I dont think much is going to happen. Actually, if you look up a company called power axel, who is based in so cal, is in the final stages of developing a tune for the 2.0t's, and I think he also mentioned the 2.4gdi also. I've been trying to get some answers for the 2.4l people, but he's been pretty busy.

EDIT: here's where i saw that supercharger kit.

It's going to cost as much to *upgrade* the 2.4 to get anything significant like the turbo, that it would probably have been cheaper just to have gotten the turbo. My 2.0t limited cost only $1k more than the 2.4 limited they had on the lot + you get bigger wheels on the limited turbo.

actually, I also really wanted to get a turbo, but for some reason, there just werent any when i wanted to go get one. There was this whole deal about a waiting list, and about only getting one a month, let alone getting the package that you wanted... (location is so cal btw)

dear all bro, thanks for your kind reply~ haha, the model that hyundai offer in Malaysia is only 2.0L and 2.4L, there isn't a 2.0T or 2.4Gdi here..if for me to choose, i will definitely choose turbo or gdi~ such a pity they didnt offer this in our market~ that's why i am looking for some extra mods on my 2.4L~
