So, this really no big deal, but I noticed yersterday that one of my buttons on my steering wheel (trip button) lost it's detent touch. The button still works but there's no feeling to the button when pushed. I barely put my fingers on the button and it changes between settings extra fast. It just feels different when pushed from other buttons.

This is not a huge deal, but it seems like every couple of months something else goes wrong with this car. I would hate to see how this sonata holds up after several years of use. I only have 11,000 miles and my l
ease expires in less than 2 years.

Take it into the dealership for warranty replacement. The steering wheel comes off prettty easily, not a big deal to replace the switch assembly.

My buddy at work, who also has a new Sonata, is having issues with his steering wheel buttons. He mentioned it to his dealer and they said it would be easy to fix, but he hasn't gone in for repair yet. The buttons on my steering wheel have lost some of their "tightness" but still function OK after 15,500 miles.

Luckily you leased and can give the car back and walk away at the end if it continues to cause you problems. I agree that some of the switchgear does not feel as though it would hold up well over several years. But, there really isn't any car out there where every interior part feels solid/substantial enough to hold up to the rigors of daily use for several years.

Mine are still working and feeling like new at about 25,000 miles. I use cruise, audio, and bluetooth often. I did have a problem with the side mirror adjusting switch not moving smoothly, it was replaced under warranty without any hassles.

I have 24k on mine and all the buttons work fine. Wonder if may just be a fluke thing.
