Been searching on some dealership websites looking at some 2011 Sonata MSRPs, and to see what stock and colors are available near me.
On almost every car is says LTD Avail. What is that?
Thanks

Bearcats is an unknown quantity at this point

It means the factory is at model year change over and the dealer is covering their butt for not having a specific car that they are advertising on the web.

It means limited availability.

I bought a sonata over the weekend and I specifically asked the dealer when the 2012 models would be released. He said around November so I there might be manufacturing delays due to the Japan earthquake creating some component shortages and bought it. I guess they lied straight to my face.. Go figure, **** dealers.

November is way too late. Most next model year cars arrive between July - September timeline. One of the poster who works at the plant said late may mid June is when the 2011 goes out of production and then any re-tooling that is needed is done for 2012. Some have said pano roof comes in 2012 others said no changes. If no changes then there won't be any re-tooling needed. If Pano roof is coming into play some re-tooling will be needed. 2012 should be built next month and then time to hit the dealers it be July - August.

Not sure if the Japan quake will have any affect on Hyundai since Hyundai does a lot inhouse out of South Korean plants. Think Limited availaibility is more related to the shortage of 2011 due to popular demand and the fact that they are probably switching over to 2012 soon.
