Seeing as how you can purchase every other factory part it seems from places like shark racing, is there any chance we will see a factory Navigation kit go on sale? One that would allow us standard radio people to rip out our standard navigation head units and put in the factory navigation system?

probably not since the navigation would require an antenna for the GPS signal, which wouldnt be there. also many other plugs im assuming would be missing as well.

I'd like to find out as well. I know that with the stock 6 speaker system you can upgrade to the sub (there's a white connector with a black cap tucked away). And so far it seems I wouldn't have much trouble running the infinity speakers in all corners. I'd imagine however, you'd need to figure a way to bypass the GPS antenna if there is one. Harness is another issue.

On Nissan's, regardless of model they tend to be wired full feature unless it's some ridiculous audio / video package. I'd imagine it's along the same lines but I haven't been able to find a wiring diagram from the factory.

Either way, I'd love to use the factory navi setup, add my own speakers, amps and subs. The bezel throws me off too.

I am sure it can be done, but will it be worth it? For the cost you can install a top of the line aftermarket unit with a 4 channel amp and component speakers and a nice sub enclosure with a amp. If I didn't buy the Navi package that what I would be doing.

naa, You can get someone to make a fiberglass dash mold from the stock bezel. I agree the aftermarket kits don't fit 100% to the contour of the dash, but a fiberglass mold would look great. It's not as complex as it sounds.

I too have wondered if it is possible, while looking I found this, def not factory, not even sure if the hook ups in the back would work with the factory plugs...

Anyway take a look...

There ya go. I wonder if that is a actual screen shot? Or just copied from the factory unit. And it has pre - amp outputs

Looks like all copied real Sonata pics, except for the ones where they are holding the china clone unit...

Very true, but the unit they do have isn't half bad at all. I mean granted, it's nowhere near middle class and maybe so... but it could be worse. Not to mention I'm a big big guy with form and function. I can't have a bezel that's half crooked or off kilter. Not to mention the wife would kill me.

Anyways, I'm going to look into that unit. I need to dig further because that's a pretty penny for something I have zero clue about.
