What is Hyundai's torque spec for the engine oil drain plug? It would be nice to have the specs for the A/T's drain and fill (or is it drain, fill, and check?) plugs also. I am aware that many like Fumoto valves, and recommend their use. I'll not be installing one, as I believe many will not, so having the torque spec would be very handy. Thanks!

I appreciate the note of the ATF being listed as a 'lifetime' fluid (at least under some usage conditions). I hold to a different preference re: ATF, and re: 'lifetime' fluids in general. My opinion is that all lubes are 'lifetime' fluids, simply because the components' lifetimes will shorten up to being just slightly longer than the fluids' lifetimes.
![]() So, I'd still really appreciate anyone who can and will post Hyundai's torque specs for us all. I'd rather put my torque wrench on the plugs than to replace a pan because it's made of some super-soft stuff that deforms under farmer-type tightening force.

Isn't it pretty silly to put a torque wrench on a drain plug? How about just snugging it down with the proper gasket? I've never had one leak that had the correct gasket.
It's a drain plug, not a cylinder head bolt. There's very little pressure behind it.
