*Internet*!!

We have just put down a deposit on a brand new i10. Picking it up next Monday as that's the first opportunity we will have.

I made my first post in another thread and was greeted by oldstan. Thanks.

I've been reading a lot of threads tonight and I've been made aware of any number of problems that can affect the i10. Hopefully we won't encounter any of them, but it is comforting to know there is such a great resource on this forum.

But it did make me think how the Internet have changed things. Years ago before a forum such as this, problems with cars were shared between the owner/s and the garage/s only - maybe with one other owner if you happened to bump into them.

Now we can share troubles (and fixes) with 1,000's of other owners. We can make other owners aware of things to look for and even compare the pricing of services. The list is endless.

As much as I berate the Internet at times, you have to say what a wonderful reference resource it can be sometimes.

Happy i10 Motoring!!

Don't forget that forums like these attract people who have problems with their cars and are seeking a solution. I guess that vast, nay enormous majority of owners are quite happy and just driving around.

It's subsets of subsets of subsets...

Whilst I agree that generally it is the web savvy with problems that tend to find - and join then contribute - to these forums, it does not infer that everyone else is content.

All cows are animals but not all animals are cows!

[Ooh! That feels better - haven't posted for a while and missed a couple of opportunities whilst cursing my i10's failings (even though it has many good points) but in particular the puerile dealers and HUK).
