Mine does it.
The courtesy car I had when mine was having a warranty job done, did it, so I assume it's a characteristic of the car.
It only becomes an issue for me if I want to do fast gear changes.
Otherwise I don't really notice it.

Well, Speed sensor B has been replaced, but the ABS warning is back on within the space of the dealer's test drive. Now we await the ABS module being replaced.
I still find it hard to believe they would design it to rev up on up-shifts when the whole point is to bring revs down for the next gear. Revving up on down-shifts would make more sense, to give a smoother sustained gear change as on the advanced driving test.
The fact it can go away without affecting drivability suggests it is a fault not a feature they intended.
Standing by.....

I have a 61 plate 2012 i10 1.2 Classic, and like most it revved when i changed up, but after now covering 4700 miles it only rises about 100rpm when i change from second to third. All other gears seem to not rev up, but stay at the same revs until i have changed gear...............

Mine is a 61 plate i10 Active and it still hasn't ever revved up. It has now covered 1800 miles in 3 months.

Still have a notchy / cluncky 1st to 2nd gear change though Which I can decrease by changing up slowly between 1st and 2nd....does anyone elses recent i10 do this, I've seen a few report it on older models.

Thanks

HornetUK - This thread is (supposed to be) about the "facelift" range of i10 ie March 2011 onwards.

It is interesting that yours apparently doesn't do it but perhaps it's pot-luck whether we have revving engines or clunky gear changes!

Pilgrimuk - Is the replacement Sensor B still "curing" our revs issue (with or without ABS light)?

Mine is the facelift version, what else would a 61 plate be?

My response was to last part of your post.

And to my knowledge pre-facelift models don't - at least the one I drove before ordering didn't! It would be interesting to know if the one you test drove - presumably a "facelift" - did it?

I cant remember think I only went from 1st to 2nd once when leaving the dealership! You hardly ever need to go down to 1st, I went out for 20 mins in total.

Yes the new sensor still cures the problem, at the expense of the two warning lights. I find them easier to live with than the rev-up

I fear whenever they fix whatever is causing the warning lamps to come on, they will restore the rev-up.....

Two visits to the local dealer (3 days total) and I now have no warning lights. Not sure exactly what they replaced as they told my other half it wasn't the ABS sensor, or the first module they replaced.
The revs now 'hang' on up changes rather than the definite 'rev-up' it had before, so happy at the moment.
Interestingly the 59 plate they loaned us didn't seem to do it either.
Now that we've driven 2000 miles without the rev-up we have a very good picture of its economy on various types of journey. Be interesting so see if that changes now its 'fixed'.
