We got the Limited with that tech package, sure a lot of extra goodies for $2,500, even less is you like to wheel and deal, that's why they call them dealers. Ha, at my computer without chasing all over my state, contacted six Hyundai dealers to set up a bid competition to get the lowest price. Two can play this game.
In looking at the competition, want 2000 bucks more just for GPS and another 1,500 bucks for a sunroof, but this is just the start. That Infinity sound system, power drivers seat with lumbar, compact spare tire, electrically heated seat, ha, can't remember the rest of it. Could do without that ultimate package, like driving my own vehicle.
No CD player on this radio, ha, my kid's newest toy even plays DVD's, but only when parked, not exactly my ideal of watching a DVD sitting outside in the cold watching a DVD on an 8" screen. And trying to find the correct CD while driving is a good way to get yourself killed. Have over 4,000 songs on a Cruzer USB stick, and easy to find this with this radio.
Was under the impression that could get five yearly updates GPS updates, but didn't look at my links, was in every country in the world except the USA. Talked to my dealer about this, need a lot more dealers to do the talking, why is this so? Did get stuck with version 8, dealer got me version 10 at no charge to me. Does take a bit of learning for this GPS, also have Garmin's. Also found a site in myhyundia where I could have updated the map for free plus another 26 GB of updates.
Other options are plugging in my smartphone, sure looks like Hyundai is copying google maps, planning a trip today, last night got on google maps on my computer with the exact address and sent that to my phone, just have to plug it in to follow their maps.
Cheapest way if you have to pay for map updates, got this from talking to my parts guys, pay him 150 bucks, will give you a code and you can download it yourself. But feel Hyundai will correct giving us USA guys five years of free map updates. With on five year old Garmin, still received over 60 free map updates, google on my smart phone, seems like every one or two weeks.
With the competition, have to take your car into the dealer for 200 bucks or more and let him do the updates. Hyundai GPS does have an option Garmin does not have. Can do a google search for a particular part you are after and will program in the address of the store that has it. But have to say, not the easiest to learn, but I am from the road map era.
