What does the dealer need to see in order to qualify for the Loyalty rebate? A personal property tax receipt, insurance card, title?

Thanks in advance!

I've never shown a thing to the dealer. Well, except for my Hyundai trade-in, that is. Plus, I had the title (and registration) with me. VIN #'s offer indisputable proof when combined with either document. No reason why insurance card wouldn't do the same, initially. But it isn't THE last word in legal documents. The title cements it. And you'll relinquish it to the dealer, or if you can't find it, he'll get a duplicate copy at the DMV. That won't stop the process or delay you from taking the car that day. They want you signed on the dotted line, and OFF THAT LOT, ASAP. Once you leave the property, you own it. No going back. LOL

And if the trade was financed by Hyundai Finance, that's more verification.

I have heard of dealer's needing a copy of a marriage license, however. I don't have a clue what that's all about.

You'll be okay. As Chef Emeril would say on his show: "Bam!"

Assume there is no trade-in involved. Assume as well that the "loyalty" car is officially owned (title and registration) by someone OTHER than the person buying/leasing the new Hyundai vehicle. By the terms of the Loyalty incentive, only current Hyundai ownership by you (the buyer/leaser) or an immediate family member living with you qualifies you for the rebate.

If your wife owns the qualifying Hyundai in her own name (possibly with a different surname), you might be required to prove the family relationship by supplying a marriage certificate. Similarly, if your daughter owns the qualifying vehicle, you might need to produce some proof that she lives at the same address as you do, say a copy of her current driver's license.

When I decided to purchase a Hyundai, picked out exactly what I wanted and received competitive quotes from a half a dozen dealers over my state. Internet made this real easy rather than chasing all over the country, requested a verified quote to be emailed to me.

Not all dealers are aware of various rebates or even loyalty, some are a lot more knowledgeable than others. But between several of them, get a very good idea of what's available. And can show your local dealer what the other dealers have to offer. Can you beat this?

They have to attach a VIN to the invoice for the rebate.
