Question Nav Voice Recognition. DOESN'T

Stil trying to learn how to use this Nav system (or not). I cannot seem to get the thing to "find address" using the voice recognition. It seems to find the street number once in a while and the street once in a while but out of 20 attempts it only once found the "city" in the state I was searching. I have attempted different setting positions in the car, had my wife try it thinking maybe it was voice inflections, NO JOY. Any suggestions???

I surely cannot be the only one experiencing this. Is there a FAQ on this forum or a Search function??

Daryl

Unfortunately I don't have any suggestions but I have no problems with CarPlay. Recognizes my voice every time. If you have an IPhone or Android phone and can use CarPlay or Android Auto, you should have better luck.

The nice folks at Hyundai will never admit it ... but you are 100% correct! The **** thing really doesn't work. Period.

Now, in a bit of defense ... remember that when you use Google or Apple voice stuff you have the power of some very, very large computers figuring out what you are trying to communicate. Poor radio in our car just has itself to do that work.

The **** thing is so stupid it doesn't get most of my "call so-and-so" commands either. And my voice is just fine. Hate to think what someone with an accent ends up doing.

Garage
My wife gets frustrated as **** with it too. Even more frustrating for her when I talk to it, because it gets me almost 100% of the time. I talk to it like I'm at work (air traffic controller). Drives my wife crazy, but I think it's hilarious!

FWIW: Spent lots more time with this and now it works about 85 percent of the time. Have come to the conclusion that the system has a "learning" process. Even tho it does not require a "sample" to get a handle on ones voice it seems to learn from repeated attempts. Be interesting to see if it likes SWMBO's (she who must be obeyed) requests now.
