Backup camera washer

About the only time I really need the backup camera to work is when the lens is so dirty it's completely useless.

Yes, I could go out and wash it off with a tissue ... but that really does defeat luxury!

Since there is a washer on the vehicle for the rear window I'm wonder if it's possible to extend it somehow to also squirt on the camera lens?

It's become a habit of mine now to give it a quick wipe as I walk around the car to get in. Used to be annoying as all **** when you go to look and all you see is salt residue.

yes. It is possible to make special washer just exactly to rear camera!!! It doesn't cost a fortune as well! Last Jan. I was in europe and saw in person how it works...great and awesome product. I just didn't have a chance to get it ordered, but will do it this summer for sure!

If you have a lovely wife, sexy hot lover, cool car, no problems with the government and revenue authorities, and when you go out the sun always shines and all passers smile to you - common dude, say NO to drugs!

Hmm.. interesting..

But........ if my eyes don't deceive, it appears that the stream of washer fluid will go right past the camera lens and not even be close to spraying the lens.

What would have been a cool idea is if it was electrically retractable. Only out when in reverse.

The funny thing is that the Elantra GT has that EXACT feature as the camera on that vehicle is hidden behind the Hyundai badge and only gets deployed when the vehicle is put into reverse. One wonders why they didn't do that across the board.

Let me know if you find somewhere to order this. Looks pretty much like what I was thinking of.

Pretty neat idea. I take it that the tiny splitter is to connect to the existing rear washer hose. Looks easy enough except for the part of drilling a hole but cool none the less.

btw, you find all the cool stuff.
