I'm going to make a schematic, so you can just take it down to best buy or a local car audio shop and they can do it for you without cutting or splicing any factory wiring.

FYI, since we don't have the idatalink maestro for this car yet, if you can find the Pioneer 4100nex for sale, it's a much better deal. The only difference is the 4200nex has the Idatalink Maestro interface guages. Otherwise, you just download the software update for the 4100nex on pioneer's website and it's essentially the same exact unit.

Here's the schematic, you can clone it and highlight the wires which makes the install clearer:

You can download the PDF here on google drive, notice only the circle dots are where wires are spliced together, they simply cross everywhere else:

When all the bugs are worked out, would definitely be interested in just purchasing from you, if your interested. Hopefully a better looking fascia kit is released at some point. I just want plug and play everything, including a fascia kit I dont have to paint.

I'll think about it, maybe a group buy or something.

Garage
I'm all about a plug-and-play kit as well gggplaya. I can do the install myself, but when it comes to wiring, pinning, de-pinning, soldering, etc. I am all thumbs and don't have the patience for small intricate parts.

The Metra doesn't look half bad in the black. The Silver is better to give a 'pop' to the center console, but I don't think the black is terrible.

Ok, well maybe i'll make a couple of harnesses.

I'll be painting my other metra kit with Krylon Aluminum tonight, we'll see how well it matches. I'm a terrible painter myself, so if i can do it, so can anyone. I'm just going to error on the side of spraying too far away, there is more than enough in a can to spray a few bezels, so you can always do a few more passes.

Krylon Aluminum was too silvery and shiny, the metal flecks were also too big for my liking. I'm going to see if my local hobby store has some airbrush color, the metal flecks should be much smaller.

OK, so airbrush sucks, i tried a few colors and still didn't like any of them.

So i settled on Dupli-Colors Gunmetal for GM vehicles. The color is very close, and looks identical from 10 feet away. However, as this is designed to be an exterior paint, the metal flakes are much bigger. Other than the metal speckles, it's the closest color i could find. Also, this paint goes on very wet, you have to primer or use the duplicolor adhesion promoter. https://www.amazon.com/Dupli-Color-B.../dp/B00407XAIS

I installed the backup camera today, and to my surprise, i was able to retain the factory trajectory lines. Everything works great!!!! So the only thing you lose by switching to an aftermarket system is the factory USB/AUX port on the center console.
