PM me your email, i'll send the pinouts to you. But the problem i think is the NAV unit does not have a factory built in AMP. So you'll need to add your own external amp, which takes a SPDIF input. I would use a low wattage amp, because the factory speakers only have 18 guage wire.

You lose the center buttons, but gain a storage pocket. My pioneer has the ability to change the color of the buttons to match the factory blue. I use the steering wheel controls anyways, so i won't miss the knobs. I'm painting the metra kit with Krylon Brushed Metallic Satin Nickel, we'll see if it matches.

I'm working on the write up now, i pulled my Pioneer 4200nex from my old car and made the harness for the Tucson, minus the backup camera, but i was able to retain the factory Steering wheel controls, USB and Mic. I'm still waiting for the metra dash kit to get here so i can put it in. Later, once i figure out what connector to use for the backup camera, i'll make another harness for that.

Turns out a few guys in the SanteFe forum, already figured out connector C for the backup camera, turns out the toyota camry uses the same connector, props to the guys in this thread: Wiring Harness - C Connector

I ordered a fully populated harness, and the axxess CAM6V 12 to 6v converter for the camera.

I actually really like the Pioneer aftermarket unit, but yeah I would much prefer a step by step guide. So if if do decide to go that route I will wait for a nice guide. Luckily no rush.

Honestly Hyundai could sell radio upgrades that are plug and play and people would buy them! The factory 5" radio functions well for the basics, but just looks cheap. Of course would love to have android auto too.

I just got the metra dash kit and painted it. Ended up using Rustoleum Satin Nickel, looks pretty good though the metal flecks are bigger than OEM, but the color is close. I'll probably end up installing it on monday, i'll do a write up this week. Then since i still have to wait for the backup camera harness, i'll add that to the write up when i install my 10.2 inch overhead monitor for the kid. I'll do another write up for that as well.

I finished installing it. Turned out pretty good, except the factory usb port won't work for some reason. I dangled a usb cable out of the side instead (see last pic), but the rest of the harness i made was plug and play. The factory Mic and factory steering wheel controls work fine. I just need to add the backup camera when the parts arrive. As you can see, i'm a horrible painter. I rushed the tape job on the pocket.

Ok, after driving home, the color on this has a little more champagne in it during bright sunlight. I stopped at walmart and picked up some krylon aluminum, it appears much closer. I'll give it a try later.

All the steering wheel controls work too, including voice command and call buttons. There is only one minor problem, the mute button works when not connected to carplay, but once connected the mute button turns into another voice command button.

How much would I have to pay you to make a plug and play harness. I want to go double-din Pioneer to upgrade from the 5" in my SE.
