Almost sounds like there's not enough fluid in the DCT. Its a sealed system but I think it take about 2 quarts. Just a thought.

guys, the first thing he must do is record a video with this issue. Clear and good one. Get camera inside your car 7/24.....

After you will have evidence, you will approach your dealership to resolve this issue. If after repair you will face it again, then you do the second approach. Only if the 2 will fail you can bring it to public attention as well as to Hyundai.

This is how things work.

At this time, dealer didn't get attention to this issue as they run full scan and didn't find anything. You must bring evidence what you complain for...protocoled, otherwise it won't go further. Look at the welcome light issue, when almost everyone complained, Hyundai Korea got a notice that if they won't fix it fast it will cost them more $$$ later on. At this point you are the 3rd person who complained about DCT issues....as I know. After your post was recorded, people with similar issues will easy find our forum and join "the club"...Mostly for exact same issues I keep front and rear cameras on 7/24....new things tend to have some issues easily.

If you have a lovely wife, sexy hot lover, cool car, no problems with the government and revenue authorities, and when you go out the sun always shines and all passers smile to you - common dude, say NO to drugs!

The DCT is essentially a M/T with 2 input shafts ("Dual Clutch")... the gear box is beyond dumber than a box of rocks.. servo shifted manual trans..

1st thing to do is scan for DTC.. see if module pick up on bum input/output in the control circuits..

Head straight to Software Management window and perform a DCT learn.. test drive after performing the learn process..

Yeah just read it's listed as a (dry) clutch system.

Just record the symptoms (care for your safety&life though) and approach the dealer again with the video. Keep us updated.

Same issue here

Cardplayer, you are not the ONLY Tucson driver with this issue, I had the exact same thing occur. 2016 Limited 1.6T. Fortunately, I wasn't in as dangerous of a situation, and I'm glad you were ok. About a week ago, I was 5-10 minutes in my car after a full day at work, then after 2 minutes at a red light, the car would not accelerate at all. zero power. After flooring it for 10ish seconds I was able to move enough to get going, but that entire drive was terrible.

That has only happened once, but I've had other times where the car seemed extremely lacking power, but not dangerous, just not correct. Also, I've never seen the warning you got on your screen.

I took it to a dealer the other day and they couldn't replicate it. Do you know your process to replicate it... I'm worried about it happening again in a dangerous situation...

-----------------------------

Check out this post too.. may have been the same issue with someone else also. Apparently his issue was a "transmission clutch switch/module"

no power stuck in middle gear no manual mode

Like others have said, As soon as this crap happens you guys need to pull out your cell phones and start recording. We need to get to the bottom of this. That is a very serious deal.

I've read somewhere else, I was thinking on here, if someone else having this issue. I think they finally got it to be replicated by the dealer. I'm thinking it was a module issue or something like that. I've been trying to find a link. Then again, it might be from the Ford Escape forum that I saw it.

I don't know why every manufacturer wants to recreate the dct when they switch to it. They always have the same issues when they do. They could save a lot of headache by studying what has been done before and applying it to their system.

This sounds like the **** I've been going through with mine. WHen this happens. can you shift into manual shifting or does the display still say 'drive' instead of the gear number? I'm about to update my original post here with more info.
