I was looking at Limited and Ultimate package appealed to me EXCEPT for the fact that it lists HID (albeit adaptive) instead of LED that you get standard on Limited without the option. Am I reading this correctly that you actually IMHO get a downgrade to HID when you opt for the Ultimate package option?
I have the Limited Ultimate and one of the best features are the headlights. They are the best I've ever had for "down on the road" visibility. I don't know why Hyundai chose to install so many different variations, globally on one vehicle. I don't have any experience with the LED's but it must be a legitimate reason why Hyundai USA chose HID's as their top tier lighting system.
canada ultimate is led instead of hid. i have hid in my 2015 genesis sedan but the led on my tucson is also very good. to be honest i dont feel much difference between the two. both are great compared to yellow halogen.
I just got the Limited Ultimate and to me the HID headlight is not as 'white' as the LED - to me it seems more on the yellowish side.
Don't know if it's just me or others see it the same way.
Also, are the fog lights on the Ultimate supposed to be halogen or LED?
They're halogen fogs but can be upgraded to LED with very good results. The stock HID's are 4300K which has a yellowish tinge but are suited for better visibility over white or bluish shades.
Why do you think that LED will never be better than HID? The technology goes on and on. Especially for high beam is the fast and short turn better than HID? or not?
The New Phillips LED with 4000 Lm should be strong enough...
I didn't say LED will never be better than HID. You should ask Semco.
I would prefer the look of LED. I think my question has been answered. You upgrade to Ultimate and you get HID.
The Limited standard (LED) low beam headlights are fantastic! The high beams are lousy, but I think they're halogens.
