Thumbs down HID in hi-beams vs.halogen

Installed 6000K rebased HID kit into hi-beams. Installation was straightforward. No need H7 adapter!!!

both Hi and Low on:

only Lo is on.

Lo and Fogs (HID in foggies)

again:

only lo-beams

Hi is warming up..

Conclusion: there is no difference in use of HID in hi-beams. It doesn't produce lights over the stock Lo-beams! There are both equal. Terrible!!!!! Probably will go back to good halogen bulbs as with HIDs you can blink...Really disappointed...

Also, didn't get why the arc on HID bulb goes up instead of down? May be that would be a reason then...

Interesting... I do like the color MUCH better than the halogens. The primary reason why I want to replace them myself. I'm really glad to hear you didn't require any adapters!
Wonder if you can turn the bulb around so that the arc goes down. That may reflect the light upwards in the right direction.

What HID kit did you purchase?
How did you run the cabling?
Pics under the hood?

Thanks dude!

Light is really nice, I love it!
I just got 4500K bulbs from tnn tuning (I believe), also as I wasn't sure if I will need or not H7 adapters I got them also. There is no way to put bulbs arc down, as clip has only that position, and you can't flip it over.

I will post pix later on today. Also, as I noticed today, bulbs are flickering even I used capacitors. However I didn't use harness came from TRS I ordered for my fogs last time, will install it today also, seems it might be a reason....

Thanks for the pics!

Are those stock LED low beams? Strange the HID's look a higher color temp than the LED's.

Our DRL is in the fog lights (small little stripe just above the lamp) not in the headlights any more. I love this idea used by koreans!! Headlights work as they must work, fog lights work as they must work and DRL works as it must work independently.

Only the one thing I think they missed for NA model, let fog lights work independently with parking lights (not with the lo beams) or even by itself like in Europe...sometimes in fog lo beams are just dangerous, they make you blind and you have no possibility to turn them off at all and keep just fog lights on...

Yeah that annoys me how you cannot control the headlights & foglights separately.
