Default rear mounted bike carriers that fit i30 hatchback

Has anyone tried to use a rear mounted bike rack on their i30? What brand worked? Is it even possible? Do I have to get a towbar and go for a tow bar mounted bike carrier?

I am also in the market for a rear bike rack. I don't want to have to buy a hitch.

I think you'll have to go with the tow bar mounted rack, there's nothing much structural to fix a bike rack to without one. Plus you get the benefit of being able to tow a trailer, which the I30 can do with ease. Another plus is you get a reverse park audible warning system for free, (joking)

I tried fitting the bike rack I already had on the Touring, and the clips are too thick to fit in the cracks around the back hatch/door.
The bike rack fit fine on our 2004 Elantra GT, but the gap around the rear door is just too small/tight.

Most trunk racks are adjustable and should fit. This is what I use. http://www.saris.com/en/bike-racks/v...&category_id=7. Try starting at a bicycle shop.

That one you linked to looks to have the 6 straps and clips that ours has.
Again it fit on our '04 Elantra GT, and my Dodge Carvan, but will not fit in the gap around the rear hatch of our '12 Touring.
