I am wondering if anyone ihas ever received a letter from HATCI for submitting their vehicle for emissions and fuel economy testing.
They want it for a week or two to play with it on the dyno and with that they give it back with a full tank of gas and a $150 gas card. They also give you an equivalent loaner. I am just wondering if anyone has any knowledge or feed back. Thanks. |

So with some apprehension I took it to HATCI R&D. They had it for a week and put 90 miles on it. In turn they gave me a fully loaded 2012 Kia Sorento for a loaner which was very nice, full tank of gas and a $150 gift card. All went well and it was like having it in to the dealer for a diagnostic check. Heck they put less miles on it than I would of.

They did not show me and as for the calculations and results they would not tell me; hence the pay off. Basically they drain the fuel tank and load it with a standard fuel and put it on a dyno for a MPG test. Kind of like a stress test for your vehicle but if it has a heart attack under their care they take care of it.
When I got it back you could not tell they did anything. There was no smell of fuel, loose fasteners and they vacuumed the inside. |
