Default Iphone Car Starter - 2011 Veracruz Limited

Hello.

Looking to put a Iphone Car Starter in my 2011 Veracruz Limited.

Problem is it has a proximity key and was told I need to wait for a "program" to come out, or they would need to take one of my keys, break it and place something under the dash. This leads to problem 2 as each key is 400 bucks and with the 2011 Veracruz Limited you can only have 2 keys at a time, and techinically one would be under my dash leaving me with only 1 key. (I got this answer from both the Dealer and a private installer)

Any word on if a new program is, or has came out. I haven't checked since January.

Thanks

The module can be added to existing compatible Viper systems for $300 or there’s an all-in-one system for $500– both are currently available at Best Buy.

Do you have the models numbers of the Viper? We dont have a BB here so I need to call ahead to one to verify they have it and/or check on-line. Is it the 4204?

Thanks for the info. Ive been longing for a starter since I got my 2010.

I assume you don't have a proximity key? Its a great feature used by many car mfgs. however, the knobs at Hyundai made one fatal error in their implementation that they only allowed for a total of 2 codes per system.

i do have a proximity key....but i am using Hyundai's "blue link" app.

Maybe i am missing the point....Is it that we can't use an aftermarket car starting app?

Apparently the Verzcruz does not have Bluelink. I have looked it up and it does seem to be pretty interesting. Looks like they 'fixed' their mistake with the Veracruz system.

Oh well...my first and last Hyundai.

Thanks

Its not perfect...there is about a 2 minute lag from the time i push the start button to when the car starts.

Still way better than not being able to have any starter. Sorry for not picking up on what you were saying. I was not familiar with BlueLink. After a year of my 2010 Veracruz, I was pretty much fed up with Hyundai so I stopped looking a the new models and was unaware they tried to fix their shortcomings. 2 minutes to start..ouch. But still better than nothing. Id does show that they still dont have a clue about features that really sell cars. For Hyundai, they think boasting about mileage is all they need.

Default No BlueLink - and push button start

My 2011 Veracruz does not have BlueLink and it is a push button start. (proximity key)

Any luck on someone having a car starter which uses and iphone app installed in a 2011 Veracruz with a push button start?
