Default Santa Fe TD engine cuts out

Hello to all on the forum I am a new member. I am really hoping someone on here has had the same problem as me, because I am tearing my hair out with this car.
Its a 2002 Santa Fe 2.0 turbo diesel. When driving the engine will suddenly cut out. Its as though the ignition has been turned off, there is no hesitation or warning, it just shuts down.
This is what has been done so far: New high pressure fuel pump fitted by main dealer in June. My mechanic has fitted a new high pressure fuel sensor, new low pressure fuel pump (at rear by fuel tank), changed relays around, checked all fuel injectors (found in good condition) and checked various connection plugs and wiring. At motorway speeds the engine will not cut, its only at lower speeds. When it cuts the EML comes on with a 'Fuel Pressure Fault' code. Sometimes the light doesn't come on. Sometimes the light comes on but will go out the next day. When the engine cuts out you have to wait 20 seconds before it will re-start. If you try to start before this the engine will only turn over without firing. The car has only done 79000 miles. The main dealer gave up and said they don't know where the fault is because the code is not specific enough.
Anyone got any ideas?

To my knowledge a diesel engine will only stop when there is no fuel or f.i. electric loss cut out the injectors
You do get a pressure fault code.
Many pumps and sensors have been changed with no succes.
Is the purge valve of your fuel rail checked?
It drains surplus fuel back to the tank at to high pressure or low consumption (slow speed).
If it stays open to long or has difficulty to close it causes a pressure drop in your fuel supply so injectors cannot supply enough fuel hense the engine will stop or run badly.
The 20 seconds could mean a time to close the valve, so pressure can build again.

Hi guys,

Hope you can help here - have a 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe (new model) 2.2 4WD Diesel Automatic.
Over the last 4 weeks, she has started cutting out whilst driving for no reason, dangerous to say the least....

Brought to a (non Hyundai) service centre yesterday, diagnostics passed, everything fine, they couldn't see anything...
Today it cut out again, tends to be on hills and turning??
Has anyone with a SFe seen anything similar with theirs?
Any help much appreciated
