Yes, 105K is much too long, although if your fluid is black, you might have another problem. What color is your antifreeze? Do you use 50-50 antifreeze mix?

The 2004 Santa Fe transmission doesn't have a serviceable filter.

DESCRIPTION:
Hyundai has deleted the external oil filter (P/N 46322-39000) on all Elantra, Sonata, Santa Fe and XG300 transaxles effective with the production dates 2001 and up. These trans-axles are equipped with an internal oil filter that needs to be changed only during trans-axle overhaul.

Also use Automatic transmission Fluid: Hyundai SP-III ATF

Hello

the tran-fluid looks black in the middle and pink at the side when i let a drop fall on a white ground but it looks black and smelly on the level check

1- i Really don't know if i am using the 50-50 antifreeze mix or not coz i just got the car last month and there is a Mobil label on the front window at the top says that the next service schedule on the 89200 mile and when i got the car from the dealer doing 91723 miles and when i got the car i don't know if the first owner has done services to the time belt, spark plugs, and transmission fluid flush or not , i search for the service book in the car i didn't found it what should i do

2- So i don't need to change the tran-filter i just have to flush the oil only

it's my first Hyundai car

thank you again

Simple to drain the ATF and replace with about 5 qts.
That leaves about 3 quarts and is not as good as a flush but cheaper. ATF from hyundai runs about $7/qt.
I find it always better to change all fluids on a used car that you are not sure when the last time things were done. Replace the coolant too.

Also if you can't find any records as to the timing belt, you may have to just belly up and get that done. Way too expensive if it wasn't done and it breaks.
