Check this out! Icey day, fuel tank door wouldn't pop open. I pull her in the garage to let her thaw out. Door opens fine useing the pull cable in the trunk.

I removed the trunk liners so I could get to the fuel door release solenoid. Popped the plug. Ohmed out the solenoid, good low ohms continuity, no short to ground. Connected meter to both wires on plug, hit button for fuel door, no voltage. Tested for ground. The black wire appears to be ground and the green is switched. I didn't find any poofed fuses. The manual deosn't seem to mention a fuse for this feature unless its tied into something else.

No problemo. I'll just yank the switches out of the door panel and check them. Probally needs a new switch. Switch is kinda' squeaky.

No luck, that switch is really in there! I don't want to marr the door up. I can only get the top, bottom, and left/rear of the switch out. And not out far enough to see the back of the switch. Really a hefty looking switch on the door. (I'm used to fixing fords, they fall apart easier! LOL.) I sure hope I don't have to pull the door panel.

Anyone have any ideas on getting this guy out?

Thanks.

Ps. Anyone know any good online Parts sites for Hyundai's. I found alot, can't decide which ones best.

Dear 02,

I have no help...you are the first person with this problem. Guess that makes you the guinea pig.
