your should just have to rotate the shift nob counter clockwise and pull up. It could take up to 50 lbs of force to pull it off. This is how they get is off the Santa Fe, Azera, Genesis and so on and they all look the same so it should work.

there should be a piece of trim underneath the shifter "knob".. grab it and turn it counter clockwise. underneath it is one phillips screw. remove that and you can just pull it up.
