Hi Everyone,

Car Noob here. Looking to find out what's the difference between an 2009 Elantra SE vs a GLS?

Nowhere on the Hyundai website can I find reference to the SE model: http://www.hyundaicanada.com/Pages/showroo...x?model=Elantra
Yet, consumerreports.org says SE is the best way to go.

Where can I find out what's included in an SE and how do I select SE as an option on the Hyudai website?

Thanks for your help!

I can't guarantee the options are identical model to model - country to country, but they should be close. Try this link:

Good hunting!

Thanks for your help. I never thought of looking on the US website.

If anyone knows what the SE is in Canada, I would really appreciate it.

Unfortunately the US packages are way better. The reason they like the SE is that it comes with ESC (Electronic Stability Control) that Consumer Reports loves (and so does Transport Canada -- lot of good that does). The only Elantra 09 that comes with it is the Limited (I believe as an option) but only in an Automatic.

I know the 210 Touring anything GLS and above it comes std, but not sure about Elantra.
