I need to replace the oxygen sensor at bank 1 sensor 1. I have looked at the location of the sensor at hmaservice, but I am unable to locate it where they show it. Does someone have a better description or pictures of where it is located? Thanks in advance!!

Hey there. I just got done doing that myself. Bank one is the side of the engine closest to the firewall. If you stand overlooking the engine from the driver's side fender, you can barely see it down there. It is upstream, so that means before the cat. converter. You have to work from the bottom, so get the right front in the air and secure with jackstands. Bank 1 sensor1 = upstream, driver's side. Attaching some pics but I just got home and the engine is still a lil hot to get in there with some good pics...P.s.: Save some heartache and get a special box wrench at your local auto parts store as this sensor is in a tight spot and normal tools can't get the leverage....give it a try, but if not definitely invest in getting that tool....

Before you go killimg yourself and wasting money,,, What is the code you currently have ?

There is program #155 for 2005-2006 Ox logic if you have not had PCM updated..

The program is to address the 0130/0150 codes... may have jibberish in the update to cover other stuff too...

Why are we looking to replace ox sensors ?

B1 has a pre cat and post cat sensor - bulkhead side

B2 has a pre cat and post cat sensor - radiator side

Couple codes do not require sensor replacement,, PCM program instead.

On the V6, if you wash your engine and get water all over the oxygen sensor/connector it will throw a code for the oxygen sensor. Did it on my 2003 tib with the 2.7L, and also did it with my 2007 tucson with the 2.7L. So if you washed your engine and got it, that's why. Just have a shop reset it and you should be ok. If it throws the code again, then you got a problem.
