Default Vibration when idling - heater hose against the firewall?

i have a 2.2 crdi 2009 santa fe and when my foots off the gas pedal it has this strange vibrating hum noise that comes and goes - it doesnt matter if its in Park or Neutral.

you can only hear it inside the cab so im thinking maybe its something up against the firewall but i cant see what

any suggestions on what it might be?

Welcome to the forum

Not much information to go on here. Pebbles in the exhaust shields can cause resonance, usually variable as you rev the throttle. Garden hose gets rid of that. Otherwise it could be any number of random interior trim parts vibrating with the engine... especially common with 4-cylinder models. Unless it is especially loud and/or easily-localized, you might have to get used to it.

Good luck, and please post the solution if you find it.

Take a good look at your pulleys. Not sure about your model, but there have been a few crank pulleys that have separation issues.
