Question Help with part number (mounting bolts)

Hello everyone,
This is my first post here, and hopefully not the last one as I really like all you do, I've been reading and learning a lot from some of you guys and I hope to keep learning new things that we can do to our cars.

Sadly I was trying to do a Mod to my SF steering wheel cruise/audio controls and I couldn't remove the airbag mounting bolts located at the left/right hand side of the steering wheel (those Torx T30 bolts).

Would you please help me find the part number for these steering wheel air bag mounting bolts? There's one on each side of the steering wheel and they hold the driver's air bag in place, I need to replace them, but it's impossible to find the part number for those bolts and it's driving me crazy.

I own a 2010 (but 2009 model) Santa Fe 2.7 V6 2WD (7 seats)

By the way, what I'm trying to mod, is to go from these controls:

To these beautiful ones:

I hope you can help me find the part number for those 2 bolts so I can proceed with the mod and then upload the results.

Thanks in advance for all your help!

I tried looking around but could not find anything. A quick call to your local parts counter will yield an answer

I look at catalog.. they not shown as service part.. they do come with new Hyundai steering wheel, and we do not have any old steering wheel on warranty shelf, they did a recent scrap report and tossed a pile of stuff.. best bet be to check with dealer part dept and see if they done any warranty steering wheel replace, and can you swipe the 2 needed screws off old steering wheel...

Thanks for your reply!

It looks like you are right, I can't find the part number for those bolts. So I suppose they are not sold as parts, and they are included with the steering wheel as you said.

I'm emailing some junkyards to see if they can help me find those mounting bolts.

Any help is appreciated.

Why would you need to change them in the first place?

^^^^ wHAT HE SAYS ^^^

We take them on/off all the time, Hyundai not call to replace with 103 recall.. we just unscrew the bolts, jiggle the squib to come out and carry on..

We put them back , just snug them up good.

Please remember the air bag goes off with an EXPLOSIVE force. If you're not sure what you are doing I suggest you leave well alone!

What you might do is take one out and bring it to some specialized screw and nut sellers/shops they might find a suitable screw with the same or better specs. Were you able to knock it loose?
