Smile 2007 Door Lock Actuator

The drivers side door lock actuator on my 07 Santa Fe is not working (it trys to lock the door but won't) I can use the key, but the electronic lock inside and on FOB do not work (other doors do work). The lock moves a little, so I know im getting power. I have tried to WD40 the actuator/lock/wires, but it didn't work... So next comes the removal, but there is a sheet metal liner in my way with several screws and what look like large metal rivets/buttons. Anyone with experience removing this piece... I don't think I can get around it. Thanks

Funny thing - everything was working up to today as normal. For some reason to lock the door I decided to use the key in the door lock and not the remote.

Then all of a sudden, tonight, when trying to lock the door with the remote (twice to hear the beep), it would not. The only way to do that now is use the key.

I am taking it in for service this Tuesday and being under warranty I will see what they say. What are the odds of me using the key today and now it requires the key? Can't see the actuator now going kaput over that. Something got confused.
