Hello, everybody.
I am not so familiary with this kind of information. I suppose that the old Hyundai Accent (2 G) has a CRDI engine with 3 cylinders, corect ?

I want to buy a new Hyundai Accent CRDI (3G) and I don't know something : how many cylinders does the engine have ?

Which are the main differences with the older engine ?

Thanks in andvance for your answers.

Hi,

the 3G Accent in Europe has definitely the new 1.5 CRDi 4Valve, 1593 ccm, 81kW@4000, 235Nm@1900-2750 rotations engine.

The main difference is, while the old 3 cylinder 1.5CRDi whas derived from the 2.0CRDi (minus one cylinder), the new one grounds a new platfrom for whole Hyundai/Kia group. It is now used in Matrix, new Accent and Kia Rio for example. it will be also the base for the new 1.1 CRDi, which will be derived from this one (minus 1 cylinder) and will be used in Getz and Kia Picanto for example.

Kind wishes, Attila
