Default steering wheel noise

HI, bought an 09 Accent and love the car, good mileage and actually quiet. I have developed a noise when I turn my steering wheel. It is not there when the car is cold, but after a few moments, when I turn a corner, I hear sort of rubber on rubber sound as I turn the steering wheel. Any ideas

Scott

Hello,

Some days Ago I noticed the same sound in my accent 2007 exactly when I was turning in the right side and when I was driving i was listening a little shaking noise in my panel, then I sent my car with one friend that is a good mechanic and he told me that the main problema was in the "caja de dirección"
Caja de dirección
Really I don't know how to say "caja de dirección" in English I think that is steering gear housing Steering gear housing and he told me that is was the problem, that the "steering gear housing or caja de dirección" was damaged, and the consecuence was the crappy noise inside de car or when you're turning the wheels, but he told me that you can't be affraid that is a normal thing because is the normal use more when the car was driven in some rustic places or all terrain places and the consecuence is the noise, but you can live with de noise or pay to buy a New one, the new one cost me about $500 dollares with the instalations and with thad new piece I'm not listening any sound :P and the driving is more comfortable :P
