I have a Hyundai Accent 2000 and these are the problems I have faced. Please add to my list if you know of more.

1. MAF sensor goes bad quick (Gives you the check engine light)

2. Brake light switch under your brake pedal gets stuck causing ure brake lights to stay on and run your battery down.

3. **Door handles break $45 on EBAY

4. Rear struts are gone (Guess that is normal time)

5. Right Rear Wheel Cylinder Leaking (replaced Advance Auto $13)

I wish I had warranty on mine. I bought it before the 10 year warranty thing came out.

When did you buy your Accent? Did you buy it new or used? I bought mine in February of 2000 new and I had the 10yr/100,000 mile warranty.

By 150k expect all the suspension to sag pretty hard.

Door Handles do break but can be purchased for 9 dollars or less

Maf's crap out quickly.
TPS's crap out.

Cat's get clogged from california gas

Control arm bolts back themselves out (loctite is your friend)

That's been it for me so far.

Oh almost forgot: VALVE COVER GASKET

and normal replacement stuff like Oil, timing belt, accessory belts, etc.
