Default slack in accelerator pedal (gas pedal)

hi

there is approximately one inch of slack before my accelerator pedal is able to pull the throttle cable.

I have attached a picture of the slack.

Can someone advise me on how i can tighten the throttle cable or minimize the gap (slack) in the accelerator cable.

Did you say earlier that this engine was replaced? If so, they may not have adjusted the throttle cable.

(Pics show LHD car)

At the engine, the cable can be adjusted by moving the mounting bracket and by a threaded end of the cable, where it attaches to the throttle body rotating arm.
