i am new here. i have been driving hyundai cars since 1995.
i have a hyundai accent 2000 and the speaker sounds like it has holes in it in the back.

Register for free access to the Hyundai on-line shop manual. See Stciky above. The speakers are covered in the Body Electrical section.

After you register, if you still can't find it, post back here.

Remove the parcel shelf.
Then take out 2 Philips screws holding the speaker housing assembly.
The assembly then pivots up as shown in these 2 pics:

has anyone been able to change the rear speakers. i have search google. https://www.hyundaitechinfo.com/ , it seems like there is something holding the shelf in place where the brake light is connected by the rear windshield. i was looking for a way to remove it but cant seem to find one... i remove the clips after the seat is folded down from the plastic piece on the rear package tray or covering shelf trim.
then i remove the three bolts that the child restraints get connected to. i then popped the yellow clips from underneath by going in through the trunk.....
this is where i am at and the rear package tray or covering shelf trim should just be lifted off to get to the speakers. but no luck.

i am desperate for some help here
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
its such a pain. i had a 1995 accent and it was easy. i have a 2003 santa fe and that is also easy. but the 2000 accent sound is killing me with the muffled noise coming from the rear speakers and i need to listen to the traffic report in the morning to work and a little music to relax after a stressful day at work..
HELP!!!!
