I think my right front CV joint is failing. What started as a "pop" noise when coming to a stop, and again when accelerating has turned into a noticeable click-click-click when coasting to a stop. No noise when accelerating, just coasting. It's going into the shop tomorrow so they can listen to it...hopefully the mechanic will be able to hear it. Anybody else have CV joint issues with the 4G Sonata? A quick search didn't turn up anything interesting.

Only 16,000. I was just out driving and think it may be the wheel bearing, not the CV joint. There are no noises or clicks while accelerating with the wheels turned, which usually indicates CV problems. In any event, I'm going to wait until the noise gets louder before taking it in...I want to make sure they can hear it.

No, I haven't hit anything, I stay out of potholes and take really good mechanical care of the car. I'll probably take it in tomorrow. Thanks for the advice...

I'm feeling kinda stupid in my old age. All these noises and problems were from my Michelin tires (which I don't like anyway) inflated to 45 pounds! A Hyundai mechanic checked the brakes, CV joints and bearings and said they were fine. He heard the noises too and said it may be a tire. It was. So I now have my quiet Sonata back with the tires inflated to 32. Evidentally, when Just Tires rotated them, they also filled them...and their tire guage is inaccurate. Lesson learned.
