I was wondering if any of the repairs that are done by the dealer service dept will show up on a carfax. I would think they would be required to do this. Especially if it has to do with a recall or service bulletin.

I ask this because i dont think my rear shocks have been replaced, and the service dept says they did all the cars as they came in. And I bought the car used from this dealer.

Nope, there is no database of all repairs that is publicly accessible. Warranty repairs and recalls will show up on any Hyundai dealers computer, but this is where it stops. And in reality, with carfax and the like, no one is required to report anything, about the only thing you can be sure of with carfax is that it will have all the title/registration changes, and MAYBE body shop repairs. I know my last truck had some considerable front end work done to it at some point (new bumper, hood and fenders) but this was not on car fax, nor was the trip to the body shop shown on a carfax on my brothers Ranger after he had an encounter with a deer.

It got away actually, but given that it was clipped at 45-50 MPH I don't think it made it too far.
