Default Red drivers side Air Bag light on.

I was wondering if anyone has a wiring diagram for a 2006 Sonata SRS system they can post? I have a 2006 Sonata with the drivers side red Air Bag light staying on. Wiring diagram, and or SRS component required value (resistance, inductance, impedance, etc) ranges.

Take it to your dealer or a qualified mechanic as this is an issue that can effect you. The light being on has disabled your SRS and you and your passengers are effected. Not just the driver.
Just have it professionally checked out....please.

Check all connectors under both seats and make sure nothing is rolling around under there. The wires and connectors are not secured and can break. Also it could be the safety clip located in your seat belt that went bad. You need to have this looked at asap as you have no SRS protection if the light is lit.

I bought this Sonata used so I don't know if the recall was performed. Was there a specific recall for the 2006 Sonata model year? thank you

The Hyundai Dealer would know if the seat had been looked at, but that is a different problem. The clip I spoke about is just one of many points that can cause an SRS short, and was in the seat belt mechanism. The connecters have burned me twice as anything in the back under the seat is subject to cause high velocity damage. Very poor wiring done for that important of a connection?
