Default How does this flip key remote combo work?

I saw it on Ebay at: Uncut Flip Folding Remote Key Case Shell for Hyundai Elantra Sonata 3 Buttons | eBay and is supposed to combine the key and remote into one. It says it's just the shell so how do you get the remote to work?

It's pretty strait forward. Open your old remote and take out the pcb. Put the old pcb into the new folding key shell. Take the key blade to a locksmith to have it cut to the original key.

I had the key for about 3 yrs now. The sign on the button wears off. That's really the only complaint. I also have this one too, but the key blade is a bit loose for me.

I have a similar flip key. The way they work is you take apart your old key fob and transplant the circuit board into the new shell. You then need to have the key blank cut or you can take a key and cut down the shank to make it fit in the new housing. I had my flip key fob for over 2 years now, its a little beat up but I like it much better than the standard arrangement.

OK sounds good I'll order a pair. I take it then that our keys don't have a transponder chip.

Just shave the end stick of the panic button. That's what I did. Have mine for 2 years with no problem, except for the button icons fading away as RiceR mentioned.

Have had mine for a few months now. The new one is very sensitive...not sure if that's good or bad.

10 bucks from ebay, key cutting was 2.50

Very good 15 dollar investment.

My original one looked pretty pathetic after 100K miles.
