Ok I have a 06 sonata it seames to have a mind of it own. Every winter it startes having problems with the shifter it locks up in D1 in the D posation as if it was in the sport mod... and does not want to shift out of D1 after playing with it I fig out that if I brought the car up in speed and shift it will go in toD2 and then drop right back into D1 but if I tap it twice and had the rpm's at 3500 it would stay into d2 without dropping back done and so on up the gears.
I know that it is an elec... Problem not a tran.... So I took the center con... Out and wow a lot of crud in ther as well in the wiring shifting Assam... Ther was a lot fo pop or what ever in side the wiring connector so I took it completly apart and cleaned it as well added wire gell to keep it from shorting out or ...and put it pack exep... There are two blue wires with silver douts that look the same so when I got all it back together and test it out and the key would not release out of the ignition so I fig... That I put them in the wron g place so I switch them and BAM... the key and everything was fixed well after dropping the car back off to my wife the next day the key still will not release unless i discount the -battery wire and I am lost what to do and can't not find the wiring dirg m...for the shifting assambily |

That was a long sentence... Gonna take time just to decipher what it actually says.
