Default Replacing the battery

Does anyone know if after replacing the battery, you have to reset codes, or something like that I keep reading that on other websites, but nothing specific for the sonata.

Thanks

Hi,
When I replace a a battery, I clip a float charger to the battery cables. The small amount of current holds your radio presets and security codes.

You have to reset the radio and clock unless you use a memory saver - and those gadgets may or may not work. I don't recommend them.

More importantly, on the '06, there is a heat shield around the old battery - make sure you re-use it - the conventional wisdom is that summer heat is what demolishes car batteries.

I have a 2008. When I replaced the battery, I had it disconnected (i.e. without any battery) for hours. When I installed the new battery, all the radio stations were still as they were. I think I had to reconfigure the equalizer settings (and balance/fader/etc. settings, if other than default). I definitely had to reconfigure the clock. That's it, though.
