I've been trying to find XG350 FRONT caliper brackets online and I've found nothing so far, only for the rears, this is the part I need to do the swap. Anyone else having problems locating the front brackets?

Buy Fenco Semi-Loaded Caliper SLC9959A at Advance Auto Parts that is the left side, they also have right side on their. They also want a $100 core charge at the store. Im gonna try and bring my old ones back 2 days after picking these up to "try" and get my core charge back (100 each side, 200 total), cause 200 is worth tring to get back if you can. The store will know the are not the same calipers and wont give u the core charge back if u bring them in when picking up the new ones, im hopin 2 days is enuf for them not to realise what im doing

Thank for the reply! Looks like I'll place an order for 2 of these and return my other XG calipers and get my core refunded too. Best of luck, hopefully it works out in your favor, 200 is work it haha. |

I'm doing this conversion this weekend. Will let you know if everything works out!
If you buy from Advance Auto, try using their coupon codes. I think I spent $330 with taxes for the brake pads, calipers and rotors plus an additional $50 for the mounting brackets. My question is the banjo on the brake hose... The Sonata has a piece that sticks out that secures it to the caliper... but on the XG350, it doesn't.... Sonata http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Ca...959_0331673899 XG350 http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Ca...433_0282887342 My question now, will it matter if I don't place banjo's piece into the XG350 calipers tabs? Let me know if I should clarify... Last edited by outdoorsy; 01-22-2013 at 01:11 PM. Reason: Links didn't work |

good quesiton. if that extra tab is only their to keep the line scure from moving when tighting down the banjo bolt, i think u'l be ok with not having it on their
Did u get the rotors from the 12+ Azera? And didnt the calipers come with the mounting brackets already, as in this link Buy Fenco Semi-Loaded Caliper SLC9959A at Advance Auto Parts and these ones dont have the bracket Buy Fenco Brake Caliper C9959 at Advance Auto Parts but the core charge on them are completely differnt from one another. This is why im gonna buy in person and make sure they come with brackets. Also what brand and style pads did u get? Keep us updated

There is a tab on the XG calipers to hold it in place, but you don't really need it. Here is how I did mine. You can cut off the tab on the caliper if you want, but I just left it there.

CNY,
None of those calipers come with brackets. I bought the fencos too...assuming it came with brackets like the picture. On passenger side they don't charge you a core charge only the driver's side if you go with the PN# SLC...... I bought the Veracruz rotors and advance's ceramic pads.... Thanks RicerR! That's what I needed to know. |

The verdict, I love how it brakes now!!
but.... there's a sound that I hear when I have the windows down. the faster I go the faster the noise... I'm not sure if its because the pads and rotors are new it makes that noise. Next install will be HID's or underdrive pulley... |
