Default Changing Low Beam Bulb on 2009 Sonata??

Are there any 2009 Sonata owners that's changed the low beam headligh bulb themselves? I need specific directions for installing. The manual instructions are not very clear. Thanks for your time.

Upon searching this forum, I found this YouTube video from dubmann that very clearly and quite simply explains how to change the high/low beam light bulb -

That video clearly shows a "H1" bulb... making it a high beam bulb, not low beam..

Fastest way is to simply remove the 3 bolt that hold housing to chassis, slide lamp out and move to table top, then replace bulb.. more open, and you can see that bulb is properly installed to socket so light projects forward properly.. no more than 5 minute round trip

A red note on the video says "I found out later, this is the High Beam. Concept is the same though." I figure if the low beam replacement is similar to the high beam then no removal of the housing would be necessary. When it becomes time to replace my low beam light bulb, I intend to follow dubmann's video.

When I replace mine I'm going to pull the housing. I've had it out once already and it's easy to do. Hardest part is the bolt inside.

Remove your headlights from the car, its the easiest way for your to remove the bulb. You will have more room to play with. It might sound difficult to remove head lamp but all it is 3 screws and disconnect the wires. Very easy! Believe me, a rookie could do this.

haha the ole "take out the headlight" vs. "using your fingers" debate.

Both have pros and cons.

If you have the right tools, taking the third bold could be a breeze

if you have small hand, doing it without taking the headlight out is much easier.

Hahaha. Take out the headlight, you will be much more calmer. Especially if this is the first time working on the headlights. When you get use to where everything is locates on the back of the headlight then you won't have to remove it to work on it.

Lol Hmr, let the debate begin.

You couldn't have just added to this thread? I saw your post about searching...but this just adds to the clutter. BTW we appreciate your input.
