Hello,

I have a 2004 Elantra GT and my fuel door is stuck. When I release the lever from inside it does not open. Has anyone had this trouble before? I don't want to pry it open. Any suggestions. I think the little cord the gas cap is attached to must be stuck on the latch or something.
Thanks!

This is too difficult for most owners to fix themselves.......your car is covered by warranty, make use of it!.

there should be a lever to pull in the trunk that opens the fuel door for emergency use, well my sonata does anyway and most cars with electric openers do. So try that if it doesn't work, take a screwdriver with a rag over the end and gently pry it so see if its just stuck, do this after pressing the relese button. Do you hear a noise when the relese button is pressed? If not, the warrenty should cover it
