Hi guys, first post here and I'm looking for some info on valve adjustments on these cars. My car is an 02 GLS auto with 120k miles. I've searched a lot and found a couple discussions where people talked about doing it, but no one seems to have actually done it on one of these motors. I'm prepared to do the job - armed with instructions and hyundai's special tool. However, what I need to know is what size shims I need and where I can get a kit! I can't find this information anywhere on the internet, all i can find pertains to motorcycles.

I think I read somewhere that the correct diameter for this engine is 33mm, but that may be completely wrong.
Also, would it be better to pop open the engine and check all my clearances and then order the shims I need individually? I haven't checked that it needs adjustment yet but I'm fairly sure it does, lots of rattling and clatter from the head for a good 30k miles, maybe a lot longer. Some insight on this would be greatly appreciated, since I can't find info on it anywhere.
Main point: WHERE CAN I GET SHIMS???
Also, I need to know the inside diameter of one of the PS return hoses so I can get a generic piece of hose to replace the leaking one. It is part number 57544C on this diagram:
POWER STEERING HOSE & BRACKET. Fits: 2002 Hyundai Elantra | Jim Ellis Hyundai Parts The hose sits right in front of the alternator. I know it's only a $15 part but it's my dad's car and he is CHEAP. If anyone knows the size of this hose so I can pick up some hose before working on it this weekend, that'd be great!
Thanks for the help guys, I've looked everywhere for this info and posted on another forum, but have had no luck.
