I have a 2001 Elantra GLS. The tranny shifts smooth. At around 40mph, it wants to shift into what I guess is overdrive. At that speed it is like it can't figure out where it wants to be and will down and upshift. Aside from that the tranny has no other problems. Any suggestions?

This might be a shot in the dark, but check the tranny fluid level. I was experiencing the same issue after I performed a full flush and it turned out I was low on fluid. Best of luck!
